The pards and Drake snatch Tom Devlin from the clutches of the Nootka Indians and the two thugs who had him kidnapped to reign supreme over San Francisco, Inspector Linder and the financier Munro, are unmasked just as they toast their ephemeral success! Some time later, near Gallup, the bandit Fraser escapes from a railway carriage with the help of the corrupt Sheriff Beckman and Kit Willer is injured by the scoundrel's cronies. Tex and Carson chase the gang, which in the meantime has already thinned out itself: there is a hidden loot at stake and no one wants to share it with the others!
