Tombstone has become a den of cutthroats, thanks to the sinister businessman Kurt Mayer who manages his dirty dealings by feeding the vile sheriff Bill Blythe to keep his eyes closed. And bloodthirsty scoundrels like Clem Colter, leader of the gang of scalp hunters, have found paradise there. Tex's arrival disrupts all the criminal plans and the town is reclaimed with lead and flames. Colter escapes, but doesn't get far: he falls into the hands of a group of Broncos marauders and dies tortured in a ghostly ghost town.

Having defeated the Daughter of the Dragon and freed the imprisoned Chinese slaves waiting to be sold, the pards return to the West. We find them on the heels of five ruthless scalp hunters who attack the ranches disguised as Indians. The horrid trophies are sold to a sinister Mexican trafficker, Huerta, owner of a trading post soon set on fire by Tex. The scoundrels' trail leads to Tombstone, where the filthy merchant Kurt Mayer recycles the raided livestock, while the renegade sheriff Bill Blythe covers up the gang's every misdeed.
