In Phoenix, Arizona, dams, canals and rivers diverted from their natural course take away precious water resources from cultivated fields, to the advantage of the large city, which is increasingly populous and developed. Tex and Carson thus find themselves defending the Indian farmers of the Pima tribe from the attacks of their rival white farmers. But the real person responsible for this war between the poor is Bill Lansdale, a shady speculator who has made a lucrative private deal out of a public good like water... The Governor of Arizona is preparing to attend the inauguration of a colossal dam. The rich speculator Bill Lansdale, fearing that Tex and Carson might take advantage of the ceremony to report his crimes to the authorities present, sets a deadly trap for the pards: the two Rangers, under the pretext of a negotiation on the water quotas to be assigned to the Pima farmers, are lured into an ancient abandoned Pueblo, but waiting for them they will only find hot lead prepared for them by a gang of ferocious killers!
