Uno sceriffo nei guai

In Utah, Tex secretly tracks the scoundrel who caused the death of the Navajo Gadhay and his sister Toyah, who slit her wrists after the cowboy she had run away with killed her brother. Arriving at the farm of the widow Rose Clampett, the Ranger drives off the vulgar Indigo Jones, overseer of Brackett's Triple X ranch, and takes the woman's side, lodging with her. In the nearby town of Faust, where Tex backs the new sheriff, the youthful lawyer Merrick, against Brackett's henchmen, rancher Stanley Dance shows up, in love with Rose and jealous of Tex. In Faust, where he had arrived following the unknown murderer of two young Navajos, Tex helps the inexperienced Sheriff Merrick repel the assault of Indigo Jones's henchmen. Jones is the overseer of Brackett's Triple X ranch, while Brackett, owner of the surrounding valley, is a determined but honest man who manages to regain control of his men, led astray by the treacherous Jones. The mystery deepens when Indigo is silenced forever, hanged by a mysterious vigilante. Only in the dramatic finale does the scoundrel hunted by Tex lose his mask of respectability!
