Pat is headed to Fort Reno to look for his son Brett, he wants to convince him to leave the army to reunite the whole family. Along the way he runs into Mac, his old Scottish friend, who intends to try a stroke of luck by participating in the race announced by the government to grab a piece of land in the Cherokee Strip, the last shred of free land in the West.
