It's summer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ken Parker is asked to scout a military caravan en route to the small outpost of Chuska. In addition to some comfort items, the convoy also contains eleven girls with the task of brightening up the lives of the soldiers. Another assignment awaits Ken Parker in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Professor Simmons' daughter begs him to go in search of her father, a geologist from Yale University, who left for the Dragoon Mountains. The professor wants to find evidence that validates his theory of the formation of continents. But the undertaking is very dangerous, because Ken will have to carry out research on arid stony ground and in full Apache territory.
