The story takes place between Montana and Utah, in the North of the States.
In the southern Utah territories a criminal robs the stagecoaches and leaves a poem as a gift. Ken also falls victim to the poet traveling to Fillmore. Here, to strengthen vigilance in the region, a Wells & Fargo inspector asks Ken to check the work of Jack Blade, a security officer who uses very cruel and brisk ways towards criminals.
