Sergeant McCabe after 40 years of life in the Army, is hoping for the position of civilian scout. Unfortunately for him there is no place for old people, and his last assignment is to accompany the commander's wife (at the end of her first pregnancy) to safety in the city. Just as one of the scouts in charge (Ken), is on his way to the fort with a friendly pair of villains.
Ken investigates the gun trafficking that was the subject of the last episode. It is natural to start from the most important military depot in the southwest, Fort Worth. Here he arrives just in time to discover the trick used by the thieves. But their boss, the quick-change Gordon, is hard to take.
