Harry Shannon, an old friend of Nick's, has come to town and needs his help. In his wanderings around the States, in fact, he had come to a provincial hotel, where he had unintentionally killed the owner who had caught him in bed with his young wife. Fleeing the country, Harry is joined by three shady figures determined to kill him, but he manages to save himself. It was the occasional lover who framed him, and now Harry is hunted by the police and the hotelier's former associates, convinced that he is in possession of the money from a profitable robbery...
