Linda Brand and Ted Croven have only a one-night stand. Or, rather, it would be like this if Linda, leaving the next morning without waking up her occasional conquest, hadn't taken a pack of cigarettes from him that she found there, in the man's house. The fact is that, in that package, there is something hidden that two bad guys like Steve and Randall have no qualms about killing for. First Croven, then his partner Larry, then a certain Douglas, of the Lower & Smith Merchant Bank, connected by business relationships to Croven's IT company. In short, the usual macabre carousel of coupled deaths begins for Nick Raider and Marvin Brown.
