A new mission awaits the operational team of the Alfa Agency: Nathan, May, Branko and Nicole are sent to a remote military post, called the Arctic Base, on an island in the New Siberian Sea, near the Arctic Circle. For a few days, in fact, communications between the installation and the rest of the world have been interrupted while the last report received referred to an accident at the main generator which had caused deaths and injuries. But Nathan is perplexed: why should Agenzia Alfa take care of the mission and not - as would be logical to think - the army? And above all, what is the secretive Jonas Halicox, whose company runs a pharmaceutical research laboratory inside the base, hiding? The Arctic Base in which the Alpha Agents are trapped is guarded by a horde of zombies, beings devoid of reason, animated by a primordial homicidal instinct! The cause of everything seems to be a mysterious compound, the Stillframe, synthesized by scientists working in the base's laboratories. Having recovered Lieutenant Lara Bowman, who miraculously survived the murderous fury of these creatures who no longer seem to have anything human, our men manage to barricade themselves in the control room.
