Nathan Never is entrusted with what seems like a routine mission: to escort Herbert Katyn, a diplomat from the Orbiting Stations visiting the East City for a series of conferences. Instead, our Special Agent Alpha will find himself thrown into an abyss of horror. In fact, Katyn is threatened with death by the young and implacable Maori Asjia, whom Nathan had met in a previous investigation and with whom he had had a brief but intense love affair. This time revenge is the driving force that pushes Asjia to act: the man that Nathan protects is guilty, in her opinion, of horrendous crimes. But what is the truth?
