Having fallen into the Territory (a vast desert area partly contaminated by lethal radiation) with his flyer, Nathan Never is rescued by the inhabitants of a hidden valley and welcomed into the home of Jake and Marian Heflin, and their son Joey. The valley, called Cielo Verde, extends over a very fertile area with a subsoil rich in oil, which is tempting to the sinister Mr. King... King, using Nathan Never's flyer, discovers the location of Cielo Verde and intends to extract oil from underground, forcing the inhabitants to work for him. When the citizens of Cielo Verde refuse, King reacts by having them threatened by the bikers, a group of motorcyclist misfits hired by him. Nathan intervenes in defense of his rescuers, finding himself face to face with Drago, leader of the bikers, in a "breakneck" deadly race...
