Alan Chambers, Mister No's former comrade, is coming to Manaus and Jerry tells his friends at the bar how he met him. It all happened in 1941, in the Philippines: after meeting Alan, Jerry was captured by the Japanese in Bataan and taken to a prison camp, where he met the Englishman Jimmy Collins... While Alan Chambers becomes familiar with the Amazon rainforest, Jerry remembers when, during the war, he escaped from the labor camp where the Japanese had interned him and completed a dangerous mission. But the soldiers of the Rising Sun had harshly punished the other prisoners for his escape...
