Tex, Carson, Kit and Tiger Jack completely fortuitously cross paths with the stallion and his herd and, having learned how things are, they attempt a difficult mediation. Mediation made impossible by the fact that Major Duncan, of Fort Stanley, far from wanting to prevent the capture of "Son of the Wind" to avoid new tensions with the Indians, is himself eager to get his hands on the splendid animal...
