Martin receives a strange phone call that leads him to a singular "reunion" with his former high school friends. Unfortunately it is not an opportunity to party and meet up with old friends: a disturbing threat returns from the past to take revenge on a group of boys who had foiled it many years before: they called themselves "the detectives of the impossible"! The characters with whom Martin finds himself collaborating in the second adventure also come from the past: they are Adam, the legendary founder of the Men In Black at the time of Atlantis, accompanied by his lifelong friend, the mutant Korg. The two have been dead for thousands of years, but have returned to life in the form of holograms to undertake a desperate mission: to clean up the Men In Black, guilty of having deviated from their original mandate, which consisted of protecting humanity from all types of danger. But, during his crusade, Adam finds on his path a character that Martin Mystère had already met previously, and who was unmistakably dead: the sinister "Master of Celaphas". Who is this man who has now taken on that name and appearance? And who is hiding behind his mask?
