After dedicating an episode of his show The Mysteries of Mystère to Elvis Presley and the inexplicable deaths of other famous artists and musicians who died under the age of thirty, the Detective of the Impossible is contacted by the elderly philanthropist Alice Magnussen who invites him and his wife Diana to Venice, where she involves them in an investigation into an alleged journey by the Zeno brothers, explorers and navigators of the 14th century who, according to some, discovered America a century before Christopher Columbus...
