The Ust-Urt plateau, in Central Asia, an arid expanse crossed only by a few caravan routes, traced in the sand by the centuries-old journey of travellers. It is here that we find Martin and Java, searching for a "ghost town" described in the pages of an ancient diary. Who are the "glass-eyed men"? And what role do they play in the sudden disappearance of Martin Mystère and Java in the middle (so to speak!) of a sandstorm?
