Norway, 7th century. The feared "wolf warriors" go on raids in search of a mysterious "Gift of the Gods". During the battle against the berserkers (the "bear warriors"), the "wolf warriors" vanish into thin air thanks to the magic of the runes. In the present day, Anne, Diana's friend, is hit by a car while trying to escape the followers of a satanic sect, and Mystère - also involved in the affair - is kidnapped by a vortex that suddenly opens in his house... Transported by the power of the runes into a sort of limbo, Martin Mystère is warned against the advent of Ragnarok, the great final battle in which the gods of Asgard will face the forces of Evil. To avert the end of the world, Martin must find the Eye of Odin, a magical sphere covered in runes.
