At the Turin Book Fair, Martin Mystère receives the diary of Father Rupert, a sixteenth-century Christian priest, from a Japanese publisher. Ruperto claims to have been on the unknown island of Kasumishima and to have met the Tengu, disturbing beings from Japanese mythology. Martin intends to reach the land of the Rising Sun to search for that mysterious place and is helped by a descendant of Ruperto, who has a precious map. But Yakuza and Men in Black are lurking! Martin and Java are in Japan on the trail of Father Ruperto together with one of his descendants, Countess Alessia Zambonin. Their aim is to find the mysterious Island of the Crow Men, which the priest discovered in the sixteenth century. During this adventure, they have to deal with ninja warriors, Men in Black and members of the Yakuza, the powerful Japanese mafia.
