Great Silence paints calendars, and in the figures he traces on bison skins he seems to have the power to harness Time. This is how Magico Vento, in search of answers about the Ancients, can meet Ehecatl, another himself, in another place and in another era. Ehecatl also possesses the gift of arcane knowledge and he too fights the power of the Ancients, but there are things he doesn't know and Magico Vento cannot help him, except at the cost of losing his own soul!
