It all began a few years ago in the town of Everville with a car accident in which Mr. Tyrrell lost his life. After his car had ended up on an embankment, a woman, while trying to help him, found a briefcase full of money in a nearby farmhouse. But there was something strange about that incident: the whole scene had been followed through monitors from a mysterious control room, in which, triggered by the incident, a notable level of enthusiasm reigned. A few years later, Tyrrell's wife hires Legs, telling her an apparently absurd story: her husband's death was part of the crazy mechanism of a prize game, a sort of lottery by participating in which one could win stratospheric sums, but which also entailed the possibility of a malus, a sort of "negative prize". In practice, life was at stake!
