Joining a theater company in order to leave Boston, Ken finds himself supporting the role of none other than Hamlet . On stage with him a sensual Norma Jean in the role of Ophelia. But there is no peace for Ken: waiting for the end of Shakespeare 's tragedy, mixed in the audience, is Alec Browne, chief investigator of the "National agency of investigation".

Two months have passed since Ken's escape from Boston.

Taking refuge in Rapid River in the Great Lakes area, Ken found a job as a lumberjack at "Clegg's timber". Someone during the night, commits a robbery at the town bank. The discovery of a lumberjack cap at the site of the theft would seem to place the blame on one of the workers of "Clegg's timber". Helped by the ESP powers of Orion , a child with Down syndrome, Ken will be able to discover an unexpected culprit.

For the second time in the series the supernatural (Orion's ESP powers) is used. As regards the first time, see N. 48 "Razza selvaggia"

This story was originally published in issues 16-20 of Comic Art magazine from November 1985 to March 1986.

On two occasions (pages 32 and 42-43) we see calendars. Thus we know that the story takes place in early October 1880.

Ken and Kamoose a Cree Indian who has just escaped from prison and Davis an outlaw, try to reach Canada. In the course of their escape they will have to face, in addition to the frost and snow, also the ambush set by some bandits and the nocturnal assault of a pack of wolves. On their trail, moreover, the tireless Alec Browne.
