In pursuit of a pirate ship, Gregory and Badger are forced to crash-land on an asteroid at the edge of the galaxy. Seemingly deserted, the asteroid is actually inhabited by a beautiful and enigmatic woman, Futura , who reveals to our heroes that she leads the Empire's last guardian, the Sentinel , a massive robot tasked with monitoring that edge of the galaxy. Overwhelmed by the woman's beauty and kindness, the two friends become close, and Gregory reveals to the Tallarian the reasons for his rejection of romantic relationships...
