Harlequin

English children like the Christmas pantomime, a classic fairy-tale show of comedy, music and magic, which they themselves are asked to perform as actors. Denham's new pantomime is doubly special, because it will be staged in the legendary Victoria Theatre, closed for more than half a century, and will see the extraordinary participation of Harlequin, a character who has now almost disappeared from British tradition. Few remember that, more than a century earlier, Harlequin was played by the great mime Joanathan Gann, who committed suicide after the mysterious disappearance of some child actors. For decades the Victoria was considered a cursed theater. But it has since been completely rebuilt. Is it possible that ghosts still roam its corridors and that, behind its painted backdrops, the threshold to a wonderful and terrifying world can be opened? Since after Jonathan Gann's death some of his accusers were found completely drained of blood, the Denham mystery could be a job for expert vampire slayers like Harlan Draka and Dean Barrymore
