Brett MacDonald arrives in America and joins the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The West opens up to Americans for the first time, and it is here that Brett meets his wife: Sicaweja. From their union Pat MacDonald was born.

The register begins in 1804 and ends in 1806.

Brett MacDonald comes to America in the first cartoon from Europe. The protagonist's age is not revealed to us, but graphically and temperamentally he appears to be between 16 and 20 years old.
Brett immediately joins the Lewis and Clark expedition, aimed at exploring the western territories up to the Pacific coast. The expedition left on May 14, 1804 and was made up of 46 members. In November 1805 they reached the Pacific, and in the autumn of 1806 they returned to St Louis.
On page 87, we are shown the newborn Pat MacDonald , son of Brett MacDonald and Sicaweja . Born in 1806, he will be the main protagonist of the series.

The first three original issues of the Rodeo series were not self-contained. With the occasion of the reprint, five (and not 3) initial issues were created. The pages of the 3 Rodeo albums were used, plus tables created specifically (192 in total) for the new edition.
Still regarding the differences between the Rodeo series and the reprint, here are the notes from TuttoBonelli by Giordani, referring to the "red" edition:

  • from page 3 to page 89 reprint of no. 1 Rodeo series
  • page 89 last cartoon and from page 90 to page 98 unpublished by GD'Antonio and R.Polese.
