This number marks the final issue of Zagor in the strip format, culminating in a total of 239 numbers across four Collana Lampo series over a span of 9.5 years. Despite this, the saga of Zagor continued through the pages of Collana Zenith, which, with its larger format, gained increasing popularity over time. Fans eager for new adventures had to wait until February 1971, when the ongoing story concluded, paving the way for a brand-new, unpublished Zagor story starting on page 77 of Zagor Collana Zenith N. 68.
