Years have pass since last adventure and Kit Willer has grown up.
While the Western Railway tries to build a railroad that crosses Arizona and unites New Mexico with California , there are those who carry out real massacres to prevent it. Carson finds himself powerless against the mysterious assailants, and Tex arrives to help him with a very young Kit.
With 256 pages this is the longest Tex story so far.
Tex is on the trail of a band of spies. Coincidentally in El Paso, he overhears a conversation and questions some suspects. Knowing that Buffalo Bill is a prisoner, he sets off on his trail. Together with Buffalo Bill, he will also find Miller the spy, thus fulfilling the task.
This story appeared as vignettes on the back cover of the Collana del Tex II Serie N. 58 until Collana del Tex III Serie N. 27. It was essentially a game where you had to collect the vignettes in sequence (as they were published randomly) and partially complete the text.
Later it was republished in sequence on the backcovers of Collana del Tex IV Serie N. 1/8.
This was the first meeting between Tex and Buffalo Bill. However, during their subsequent encounter (which took place in the regular series), the two did not show any signs of knowing each other.
