Tex runs into a massacre carried out by the El Diablo gang, and swears to the tortured man he finds, to save his daughter. The searches will also make him run into the law, and more precisely in the Secret Service . After a decided start as an outlaw, Tex, while retaining his characteristics, begins the slow march towards a less hasty justice. History within history, the meeting with Bill Mohican , responsible for the death of Florecita , the daughter of El Diablo.

Tex's first Mexican adventure, and the first hint of possible secret Mexican invasion projects.
Tex joins the Rangers' Secret Service with star n.3. The first two are Arkansas Joe and Kit Carson whom Tex gets to know in this story.
