There is a mysterious murderer in the remote town of Sierra Vista: every two or three months, a girl is found dead with her throat cut. The local sheriff has been hunting him for years, but to no avail. He is not the only one looking for the serial killer: a Baltimore police inspector, Nick Martin, went to investigate as far south as Arizona, after discovering the disturbing coincidences that connect the Sierra Vista murderer's modus operandi with that of a criminal active until a few years earlier in his city, and then vanished into thin air. Except that the policeman has also disappeared, perhaps the victim of the same murderer, who realized he was being hunted. At this point, only Tex's intervention can solve the case!
