Wolf Tooth

INNOCENT REBEL

In the long story that unfolds on numbers 30, 31 and 32, the Wolf Tooth episode is only a parenthesis of a few pages, but emblematic of the situation of ambiguity in which the Spirit with the Hatchet is often forced to move. Neither Indian nor white, Zagor is on the border between the two races, and in case of conflict he must love and fear them both. This difficult work of mediation is not always painless and fair. Wolf Tooth is indeed a rebel, a hothead, but Zagor wrongly suspects him of having participated in a horrendous massacre. In the ensuing duel, the warrior also turns out to be a vile traitor, and is killed by his own leader. But, immediately afterwards, the revelation of his innocence casts a shadow, albeit fleeting, of sad injustice on history.
