Actors, jugglers, acrobats and illusionists, "Great Sullivans" come to the fore with issue #56 and their meeting with the young Wilding will give a turning point to the restless life of the future King of Darkwood. Romeo, Horace and Pope Tot take to heart the fate of that impulsive and remorseful boy, who saved them from an Indian ambush, and it is they who create for him, as they say today, the "look" of the Spirit with the Hatchet. A red costume, a pair of effective shots and a few sincere words of friendship manage to transform the young man first into a man and then into a legend. Once the opera is complete, the Sullivans return to the wings and resume their wanderings, driven by an innate, irrepressible spirit of freedom.
