Satko

ONE FRIEND—OR RATHER, TWO!

Satko appears in issues 45 and 46, the first of which bears his name as its title: “Satko!”. And the exclamation point is well spent, given that the character will immediately be loved by readers, and will become a "fixed" friend of Zagor. Indeed, a double friend! In fact, Satko has two personalities: he is a young Cherokee warrior and at the same time an "almost-white", given that he spent much of his life among pale faces, studied and graduated in law (later, he will have his own law firm). The adventure in which he is the protagonist is also unusual, as it is ultimately a love story (a very rare genre in Zagor), complete with a happy ending. Assuming, of course, that the marriage really is... er... er... a happy ending...
