HUNTING FOR “PISUM ALATUM”

The long adventure that unfolds in issues 41, 42 and 43 is dramatic and, in the end, almost tragic, but it also features some of the funniest comic interludes of the entire series. Thanks to Chico, of course, but above all to Professor Lookford, a classic figure of a scientist, if not crazy, at least weird. Suffice it to say that he undertakes the dangerous journey to the island of "Little Africa" ​​only to capture an insect that is missing from his collection, the "Pisum alatum", or "Flying Pea". A beetle thought to be extinct, which exists nowhere else in the world. Indeed, in reality it doesn't exist at all: it is in fact an imaginary creature from the Nolittian "bestiary", the most famous example of which will be the hilarious Going-Going.
