Writer of adventure stories, Rufus is a specialist in inventing stories in which an invincible hero is faced with the most terrible dangers. This is why, after hearing about Zagor and the aura of legend that surrounds him, he thought it best to create a real series of books in which unlikely "Zagor Stories" appear. Rufus looks a bit like a modern "cartoonist" always looking for ideas. And it certainly cannot be said that he doesn't do his best to get them! In fact, when he realizes that nothing "epic" happens in Darkwood, he leaves the pen for the gun and, lurking in the shadows, manages to unleash the anger of the Indians and trappers. Needless to say, this time it will be Zagor who will put an end to Rufus' story.
