What you see advancing across the waters of Lake Superior is without doubt one of the most terrible enemies of the Spirit with the Hatchet ever to appear in this column! True, it has neither the supernatural powers of Kandrax the magician, nor the physical vigour of Supermike, nor the malign genius of Professor Hellingen... but the total invulnerability of the armour that girds its hull and the infernal power unleashed by its steam engines make it effectively invincible. Led by the greedy and bloodthirsty Captain Butcher (nicknamed, not by chance, "the Butcher") and flying the British flag, the "Destroyer" has become the terror of all those living on the southern shore of the Lake, which belongs to the United States. One day, however, a man come from afar, Za-gor-te-nay, will succeed - a new David - in defeating the proud Goliath.
