Paolo Piffarerio (Milan, 27 August 1924 – Milan, 30 June 2015) was an Italian animator and comics artist. In 1953 he co-founded the animation studio Gamma Film with the Gavioli brothers, where as technical director he supervised a large body of animated and live-action shorts, including many advertisements for the RAI television programme Carosello between 1957 and 1977.
In comics he is most remembered as the long-running artist of Alan Ford, the satirical series created by Max Bunker (Luciano Secchi): he took over from the original artist Magnus around 1975 and drew roughly ninety issues through 1984. He also collaborated with Enzo Biagi on La storia d'Italia a fumetti (Mondadori) and produced literary adaptations for the magazine Il Giornalino, among them I promessi sposi and Homer's Odyssey. He won the Premio Marzocco d'Argento in 1976.
