Andrea Da Passano (St. Petersburg, 21 November 1905 – United States, 1993) was a Russian-born artist and illustrator of Italian noble descent who worked in Italian comics during the 1940s. The son of Marquis Eugenio da Passano, his family was displaced by the 1917 Russian Revolution; he settled first in Paris, where he worked as a costume designer for the Folies Bergère and produced illustration work for French publications, before moving to Genoa in 1938.
In Italy he launched his comics career with titles such as Codino (1939) and La Signora Coccodé, and became the principal artist on comic books featuring the Hollywood duo Laurel & Hardy. He collaborated with scriptwriter Gianluigi Bonelli on the Ipnos series, published in the Audace collection Gli Albi del Mistero between February and August 1947 — Audace being the publishing house founded by Gianluigi Bonelli that would later become Sergio Bonelli Editore. He also ran his own DaP studio in Milan, producing titles including Roal, il Tarzan del Mare and Biancaneve.
In later life Da Passano relocated abroad, settling in the United States, where he pursued esoteric studies and founded a spiritual organization in Los Angeles. He died in 1993.
