Alessandro Piccinelli (born April 3, 1975, in Como) earned a diploma in textile design at the "Setificio" technical institute in Como in 1995. That same year he began attending the specialization course at the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan, which he completed in 1999.
From 1997 to 2000 he worked as an illustrator for the Corriere di Como and later appeared as a complete author in the magazine M.A.R.E. In 2001 he produced more than 300 educational drawings for Meroni Editore and, that same year, joined Mediacomics to work on the web comic Armadel.
Following this experience, he produced trial pages for Zagor and joined the staff of the Spirit with the Axe, debuting with the four-part adventure Huron!, published from May 2006. After working on Zagor, he became a regular among the artists of Tex, but in 2016 he was chosen as the heir to Gallieno Ferri at the helm of the Zagor covers, debuting in this role with Zenith 666.
